Bellagio Pool (source: Midlife Miles)

I woke up with the sun in my fifth house today and it is everything I expected it to be!

I literally can set my watch to this annual ingress. Looking back through my blog posts, every one of them discusses the return of my physical energy levels this time of year. It doesn’t hurt that the sun gets high enough in the sky to start feeling warm on your skin in this part of the world. Still, I’m lucky to have my chart laid out the way it is with my fifth house cusp just a few minutes away from the Pisces cusp.

Anyway, I’ve got a couple of days off in a row since tomorrow is a holiday in the province where I live. I’ve got a massage booked, but other than that I’ve got almost nothing to do. I can enjoy this time off like a mini vacation while I dream about the real vacation that I’ll be taking in seven weeks.

On that note, I’m going to try to get a little more exercise before my trip. While it’s unlikely that I’ll be able to jump into the Bellagio pool (I have to undergo a minor medical procedure and I’ll probably have stitches on my back), I should at least visit the pool deck to get a little sun on my face while I’m in Las Vegas. I might be feeling the heat while the sun is transiting my fifth house, but I’m as pasty as I get this time of year. I don’t typically lay out, but I don’t avoid it altogether because I look good when I’ve soaked up a few rays.

Until then, I’m going to use this newfound energy to be more active. I’m eager to get my blood flowing and to eat everything I want to eat because I know that I’m just going to burn off the calories.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got things to do. Sitting at this computer isn’t one of them!
