Yesterday’s new moon in Capricorn has me focused upon self-discipline and what I can do to ensure a better future for myself. That includes the actual resolutions I made to make the most of what I already have, and to get back to my old, third-house self. Despite those plans, I remembered that my second Saturn return is just around the corner, so I started to look at what else the stars have in store for me in 2024. That’s when I took a deep dive into the trip I have planned in April.
Yikes! Could I have picked a worse time to go to Las Vegas? I have a whole bunch of squares occurring in my chart while I’m on vacation. What’s more, transiting Mars conjoins my natal Saturn the day after I arrive in Sin City.
I’m not going to let this bad timing worry me, though. I let my friend pick the days that we’re going to meet up. Usually, I’m the one who chooses, and usually I pick days that seem lucky to me. Often, those days revolve around lucky alignments in my forecast. Yet those lucky stars usually just get me into trouble by making me feel overly optimistic — like I can’t lose. Perhaps I’ll enjoy myself more by not feeling as if I’m cosmically-blessed. Maybe I’ll stay within my budget and enjoy myself anyway while these so-called “malefics” are conspiring with each other.
What I should focus upon is the notion of “harmony” while I’m on a holiday with my friends. The new moon in Aries occurs in my seventh house on the second day of my trip, and it harmonizes with Chiron. I’m constantly discussing Chiron on this blog and how it seems to be personalized in my chart. Could I actually address the self-sabotaging spending habits that have plagued my life during a Vegas vacation? Stranger things have happened.
In the meantime, I’m just going to continue to pursue the goals I set yesterday morning. It’s good to have a plan . . .
