Star Struck Style

Today is my birthday. Last year on this day, I discovered the annual forecast on “Café Astrology.” I revisited the site again this morning to see what’s in store for me in the upcoming year since last year’s prediction turned out to be quite accurate. Here’s what it had to say:

“With the Sun and Moon in harmony in your Solar Return chart, the year ahead should be satisfying and balanced overall. You are in comfortable demand and personally popular, and you are able to achieve a decent balance between work and play; personal and professional life. For the most part, you are on top of your game this year, and positive connections with others can be made fairly easily. With the ability to handle your emotions successfully, there is less stress on both your mind and body. Your self-confidence and positive attitude will reward you!

This is a year in which you put your life in order in some significant manner. Improved concentration, a more realistic outlook, and a practical awareness of the limits of time all help you to make steady progress, particularly in your career. Your concern for your future this year is stronger than usual, and you may find that projects you start, or investments you make, this year will benefit you for years to come.

You often react more deeply to life, and you often explore your deeper feelings and desires. It’s a good time to specialize or focus on one particular project, relationship, or pursuit. You’re inclined to investigate, observe, and analyze. You’re getting in touch with your intuition.

This is a year of increased imagination and intuition, when you more frequently rely on your internal wisdom. You can successfully apply both logic and intuition, leading to a deeper understanding of problems as you take into account the human element. It’s a good period for cooperation as well as effective, sensitive decision-making.

It’s also a powerful time for learning from love, attachments, past experiences, and family. You enjoy helping people, teaching, and growing through your connections.

You could be lucky in love or find the year particularly rewarding for social activity or simply enjoying life more fully. There can be romantic joy, drawing honors or recognition to you, prosperity in creative or guidance fields, and some success with speculation.

At times, you can wrestle with your expectations, as well as struggle between reliance on logic and putting your faith in something. Some confusion or even deception can figure strongly in your communications this year, and it s important to avoid glossing over or overlooking important details. Jumping too quickly into things is something to watch for. Watch also for scattering your energies over too many activities and projects.

However, a Mars-Jupiter influence in your Solar Return chart infuses the year with an enterprising spirit. This is a strong aspect for professional as well as personal opportunities. Your faith in your ability to produce and to win takes you places you perhaps never imagined. There can be positive outcomes in competitive activities, including sports and business, for example. You are more courageous about discovering the right activities for you, and you’re especially ready to take on a challenge.

This period is strong for enjoying diverse friendships, social events or activities, and satisfying relationships. Notable fortunate connections are made. It’s also a fine time to publish and share your ideas. You’re open to new experiences, ideas, and methods, and this attitude brings interesting people and pursuits into your life.

This is an excellent year in which to advance projects revolving around communications — writing, speaking, selling, and so forth. Your reputation may be enhanced through word of mouth. Making new contacts through learning and mental pursuits figures strongly as well.

I am encouraged by this forecast for few reasons. I would be happy to have “a decent balance” between work and play because it seems as if I’ve been working way too much lately. But I would also be happy to just have a less-stressful year. With all the big changes that happened at my place of work in the second half of 2023, I feel as I’m already there.

The passage continues with a prediction based upon numerology:

“2024 is a Number Six year for you. Ruled by Venus. This is a year of relative contentment. It’s a time when love is the easiest to attract, and partnerships formed under this vibration have a better chance for longevity. You are especially able to attract others — and material things as well — this year. This is a good year for establishing harmony in the family and the home. Advice — develop existing relationships, be positive and receptive because these kinds of energies help you to attract what you desire.”

Again, that’s all very encouraging. I am a Venusian character with Libra for a rising sign, and I revel in harmonious situations — especially when I have a hand in creating them. I’m also cooperative and work best in a collective where everyone is focused upon the greater good. After some tense moments in the first half of 2023 with a boss who made me want to run for the door, I’m now in a place where I genuinely feel comradery with my coworkers. Knowing that people have my back lets me leave my work at work. I’m in a much better position to have a life outside of my place of employment.

And on that note, I’ve got the day off from work to celebrate my birthday, and I can think of a million things that are probably more fun than sitting at this computer. See you next time . . .
