I was just sitting around thinking about what I want to achieve in the new year. Although I won’t officially make a resolution for about two weeks from now (when the new moon arrives in Capricorn), I’ve already got a plan in mind. In 2024, I want to make the most out of what I already have.
For instance, I’ve got some new living room couches on the way. That has me thinking about what else I could do to spruce up my home decor. I also have half-a-dozen Marcel Breuer Cesca chairs in my basement that I inherited from my mother. I just discovered that I can buy new seats and backs for them for far less money than I thought I would have to spend to have them refurbished. I would be thrilled to reintroduce these modern classics back into my world instead of just having them tucked away where no one even knows they exist.
That’s sort of a metaphor for my life right now. I’m happy, I’m healthy and I’ve got almost nothing to complain about. Still, I can do better just by using what I’ve already got. That goes for the chairs in my basement, the clothes in my closet, the plants in my garden, and almost everything else I possess. All the ingredients for a fabulous life are already here at my disposal. I just have to use them instead of shopping for more.
Astrologically speaking, this resolution is rooted in the trine that transiting Saturn is currently forming to my natal moon, and Venus’ simultaneous ingress through my second house. Transiting Uranus’ trine to its own natal position is also helping me to understand that I need to change my perspective regarding my so-called “possessions” rather than just succumbing to the desire to accumulate more stuff. Suddenly rediscovering something that I’ve had all along makes sense when Uranus’ influence in my horoscope is considered. Like the moon, Venus and Saturn, the planet is personalized in my chart.
So, that’s the plan for 2024. Have you thought about what you want to achieve in the new year? Let me know in the comments section or on one of my social media pages.
