Star Struck Style

Venus conjoined my ascendant early this morning. “Café Astrology” describes the transit as follows:

“Today you exude personal magnetism; you express your love and affection to others easily, and they do to you. The focus is on one-to-one relationships. You are magnetic and attractive — more than usual — and it’s a good time to get noticed. Others more openly express their affection for you right now. At this time you come across in an appealing, charming, openly affectionate manner that is likely to win you new friends and admirers. You make an excellent first impression now. This is a very favorable time for doing something to enhance your appearance, such as getting a hair cut or purchasing new clothing.“

Of course, this is happening on Black Friday, the best shopping day of the year. Also, it’s my payday. Like I didn’t need another reason to be “purchasing new clothing.”

But I’m going to try to avoid even looking at what’s on sale because I don’t need anything. Instead, I’m going to focus on the other things that I can do to make myself more “magnetic and attractive.” I already gave myself a mud-mask facial two nights ago. Then yesterday I buzzed off my hair and shaved for the first time in a week. I’m looking good already. Still, I’ve made some changes to my workout routine, including getting used to working out at home again, and it’s been paying off. I feel really good and I can see some positive changes to my physique already. It’s amazing what can happen when you put a TV in the room where you like to work out.

Anyway, Venus is going to be transiting my first house until the middle of December, so I’m going to try to make looking good my focus until it enters my second house. When that happens, I’ll need to focus on controlling my compulsive shopping habits. For the moment, though, I just don’t believe it’s going to be all that difficult for me to keep my spending in check.
