I always recall the saying “spring forward, fall back” when the time comes to change my clocks. Curiously, Daylight Savings Time ended this year just as Saturn ended its retrograde cycle, providing another layer of meaning to the old adage.

“Spring forward, fall back” can be interpreted as a warning over the next week or two. Saturn doesn’t really start moving for a while, so any leap of faith taken prematurely might result in an unanticipated fall. We might be so eager to start moving ahead now that it’s quite likely we’ll stumble over our own two feet.

This shouldn’t be a problem for most people because the current astrological climate doesn’t encourage reckless behavior. Even brash Jupiter is getting ready to station in laid-back Taurus. However, with the new moon opposing Uranus in just over a week from now, it might be wise to expect the unexpected. There are people out there who have been stifled by these cosmic circumstances, and they probably want nothing more than to charge forward. At the moment, that headstrong approach is ill-advised.

Instead, we all need to focus on feeling surefooted again. Incremental changes we make over the next six or seven weeks will ensure that we enter the new year feeling as if we are solid ground.

This might not be the most exciting forecast, but it certainly isn’t a bad one. Still, I’m a cautious Capricorn with a Cancer moon who appreciates the slow and steady pace that comes with a Saturn station. I also don’t mind falling back occasionally if it allows me the opportunity to reevaluate my strategy before I attempt to spring forward again. To some people, any setbacks are anathema to their existence. To those individuals, I wish you luck as the year slowly but surely draws to a close. You’re going to need it!
