Solar Eclipse (source: space.com)

Saturday’s new moon in Libra is also a solar eclipse. What’s more, it forms a tight trine to my progressed Jupiter. That’s got to be lucky, right? I sure hope so! Having this eclipse occur just as my vacation begins has me even more excited about what next week will bring. I can’t wait to get on a plane to get out of here. Las Vegas, here I come!

This isn’t just a good time for me to have some fun, but it’s also a good time for me to get out into the world in general. “Café Astrology” describes the annual event as follows:

“This New Moon placement is a powerful one — it’s a time to reinvent yourself in some personal way, such as with a new look or manner of expressing and presenting yourself. This is a personally busy time of year, when you feel energetic and enthusiastic. Think about how you present yourself to others, focus on changing personal habits in such a way as to improve your confidence in yourself, and concentrate on putting your best foot forward, as this is a time when you will get noticed and make a personal impression on others. However, factor in the importance of authenticity in your presentation of yourself. You do not have to, of course, reveal all of yourself to others, but the sign of Aries associated with the first house reminds us of the importance of acting on our impulses and believing in ourselves. This is a time when you can be brave and enjoy new experiences.”

Putting my best foot forward will be easier for me after I’ve had the opportunity for some rest and relaxation. I need to make sure that I’m taking regular vacations in the future. All work and no play makes me a pretty dull boy, so I should resolve to be more “out there” when this new moon arrives. As I’ve mentioned a million times before on this blog, that’s so much easier for me to do this time of year.
