Threads (source: Yahoo!)

I love astrology and I love talking about astrology with other astrologers (almost as much as I love talking about myself). When I first joined Twitter, the first people I followed were a bunch of my fellow astrologers. However, I quickly learned that most people were there just to hear the sound of their own voices. I already have a blog to do that for myself, so I wasn’t really interested in what Twitter was contributing to the discussion of astrology. What’s more, the number of shitty astrologers on Twitter who simply posted shitty memes and other cliché garbage reached critical mass several years ago. I stopped using the site to find “my people” when I discovered that those idiots weren’t my people.

Anyway, I’ve made some astrologer friends on Instagram who aren’t nearly as annoying as those who use Twitter. I quit Twitter altogether a few months ago when I just couldn’t allow myself to do anything that appeared to support Elon Musk — he’s such an asshole! And then I joined Threads: Instagram’s version of the site formerly known as Twitter.

I’m enjoying being on Threads, even if I haven’t been posting that much. I hope that as the site develops, that I’ll also discover a new community of astrologers over there who want to discuss the subject. I feel as if this blog contributes to the discussion, so I’m going to resolve to start posting links to my daily posts. Unlike a lot of people who use social media, I don’t need a million followers to feel validated on a site like Threads. Nevertheless, it’s nice to be noticed and to meet like-minded people who share my interest in stargazing.

The link to my Threads account is in my bio at the top of the page. Don’t be afraid to follow me and to comment on my posts. Unless you’re a Gemini, I’d love to hear from you. I’m kidding, sort of . . .
