Star Struck Style

The transiting sun conjoins my natal Uranus in a couple of hours. Uranus is personalized in my horoscope because it resides in my eleventh house, so I typically feel alignments with the planet quite acutely.

Curiously, I just purchased a cordless electric massager on Amazon a moment ago because my neck is stiff. I had a terrific corded unit for years, but it finally burnt out. Also, I’ve got a new Samsung tablet I picked up yesterday that I was thinking about plugging in. I’ll probably finish setting it up on Thursday because I’ve got the day off.

The eleventh house is associated with electronic media and technology in general, so it doesn’t surprise me that I’ve purchased both of these devices when the sun is shining upon Uranus in that part of my chart. However, I wouldn’t mind if this aspect manifested itself in some other ways. It can augur surprising events like a lottery win. I’ve already got the tickets because I was anticipating winning the lottery while Jupiter is stationary in an exact trine to my natal sun. However, “Café Astrology” offers a much broader interpretation of this annual aspect:

“A new personal cycle of independence, progressiveness, and change begins. You are more inclined to accept and appreciate all that is new, unusual, and avant garde. You have an opportunity to shine for what makes you unique. This transit gives a green light for matters concerning the media, computers, and metaphysical subjects. Restlessness and a need for change is indicated. You simply won’t stand for restrictions now!

Your ego awakens and you seek new ways to express yourself, as this is a time of self-discovery. There is a need to be creative and unique in your expression of self. This is usually a time to join with groups and/or to become a group leader. It’s also an easy time to make new friends. Sudden, unexpected events can happen out of the blue. You might find yourself thrust into new — perhaps thrilling — experiences. This can be a time when others notice a sparkle in your eye and find you endearingly clever and witty.”

Of course, everyone already finds me “endearingly clever and witty,” but it would be thrilling to hear it from them. It would also be thrilling to experience something “out of the blue” today. I might be the sort of person who thrives on routine, but I can also appreciate when the universe shakes things up.

Maybe that will happen today. I guess I’ll find out soon enough . . .
