Venus stations today in Leo at the midpoint that opposes my natal Mars and Venus conjunction in Aquarius.
Aquarius can be a frosty, distant natal position for either of these planets to inhabit. Having both of them just a couple of degrees apart in that part of my chart would probably make me eager to jump into relationships if they were in any other sign. But they’re not in any other sign! They’re in the sign of the contrarian: the place where planets go to buck the trends just to prove that they can buck the trends. That is why I am so happy when people leave me alone.
This conjunction is a hallmark of my natal chart. For someone who can be remarkably outgoing and extraverted, I am also delighted to be left alone to my own devices. I’ve got the house to myself this weekend, so the timing of this astrological event couldn’t be better.
I’m not an antisocial person, but I do understand how important it is for me to be alone with my thoughts. Some people can’t do it. I’m the opposite and I get standoffish around people who are incessantly needy, especially when transiting planets are forming tense aspects to my natal Mars/Venus conjunction. For that reason, this Venus station has made me eager to get away from everyone. I just had a week off from work and I didn’t do any socializing whatsoever. I actually feel better about myself because of it.
Are you able to spend time alone without feeling lonely? Is there something in your chart that makes you feel detached, or are you compulsively needy because of the way the stars lined up on the day you were born? Let me know in the comments section or on one of my social media pages.
