Princess Kate (source: Yahoo!)

Just a moment ago, I was goofing around with the search tool on astrotheme.com. It’s a terrific resource for astrologers to compare the horoscopes of celebrities without having to sort through dozens of charts. That’s where I discovered that the Princess of Wales has a Leo ascendant.

Years and years ago, she was reported to have Libra rising. I remember that because that configuration would have made her share her “big three” with yours truly. A few years later, that was corrected to Taurus rising. Now I see that the site has an estimated time of birth that puts her ascendant at 20° Leo. The estimate is rated “A” according to the site, which means that a relative or someone else close to Kate has confirmed the time. In this case, it was typically someone who “was there” at the time of birth.

I can buy that configuration. It puts her sun in the fifth house, and that position along with her rising sign explains her good hair and the fact that she has kept the royal tradition of wearing hats alive. There is a sense of restrained drama in the way that she puts herself together that balances the influences of both her Capricorn sun sign and her Leo ascendant. She is body-conscious without ever being vulgar, and she is able to be the center of attention without dressing like an attention whore.

Anyway, I’m sure that I have an already-edited post about Kate somewhere in the archives of this blog where I apologize for getting her chart wrong. As I’ve mentioned a million times before, incorrect birth information is the bane of astrologers everywhere. We do our best with what we’ve got. That’s about all I’ve got to say about the matter!
