Star Struck Style

I’ve got the day off from work today and I’m feeling decadent. I’ve got a massage booked, and I was planning on coming home later to lay in the bathtub for a while. Once again, I’m eager to tune out the noise.

I had a look at my chart to try to see if anything jumped out at me. I’m curious to know why I’m so self-indulgent lately. The only explanation I can come up with is Venus’ retrograde cycle in my tenth house. While my self-discipline is enhanced with the ruler of my ascendant in the house associated with my Capricorn sun sign, I’m also bargaining with myself: for every bit of good I do by behaving like a wise old goat, I negotiate a suitable reward for my behavior. This has been my modus operandi for my entire life, so it should not come as a surprise to me or anyone else. However, the transactional nature of my conduct is at an all-time high right now.

On the bright side, the sun moves into my eleventh house in about a week, leaving Venus all alone in my tenth house. Perhaps that shift in the stars will result in a shift of my priorities. Maybe I’ll want to be around people more when that happens, and maybe I’ll stop fixating on what I can do to make myself feel special. Stranger things have happened . . .
