I published a post a couple of days ago where I discussed how burnt out I am. I need a vacation! I only have ten days to work before I get a week off and my Vegas trip is only two months away. Still, I want to get away from it all now!
I suppose that I’ve found the culprits, astrologically speaking. Transiting Mars is currently forming a sextile with my natal Neptune. Aside from some more-esoteric advice, my astro.com computer-generated horoscope tells me “Your physical energy is likely to be rather low during this transit. This is a good time to relax.” What’s more, the sun has caught up to retrograde Venus in my tenth house. No wonder I’m publishing blog posts about how I just want a little peace and quiet at work!
Neither of these transits last too long, so this feeling that I just want to left alone in a quiet room with no one to bug me shouldn’t persist for too long. What’s more, the next ten days at work should fly by. In the meantime, I’m going to seek out opportunities to tune out the noise, just like I do when I go to Las Vegas. When I’m there, I get up super early in the morning to visit the casino before it gets to be too noisy. I go to Starbucks and then park myself at a slot machine for a couple of hours. Honestly, it’s my favorite thing to do in Vegas. My friend that I meet down there does the same thing. We both crave that time to ourselves where we can revel in our decadence without having anyone around to spoil our fun. We then meet up for breakfast: my second-favorite thing to do in Vegas.
I suppose I can emulate that behavior here at home, even if it just means getting away from the noise any time the opportunity to get away arises. I believe that I need to make that my plan for the next couple of weeks. Curiously, Venus will station opposite the midpoint between my natal Mars and Venus conjunction when I’m on vacation at the end of this month. I need to look into how that might affect me since I seem to feel these Venusian transits so acutely.
For now though, I’m going to finish my coffee and then I’m going to go outside and water plants for a couple of hours before all the neighbors wake up. I won’t have to listen to anything but the birds out there, and that’s about all I can handle right now.
