In about two weeks from now, transiting Jupiter will form a square to my natal Venus. My forecast on astro.com offers me the following advice:
“This influence stimulates your love of beauty. Make every effort to surround yourself with beauty, such as pleasant surroundings, art objects or beautiful scenery. With some people, this feeling becomes perverted into a love of gaudy, showy things that have no real worth. To each his or her own, of course, but do not get seduced into wasting money on some trifle that you will regret in soberer moments.”
I don’t believe that I have to worry about wasting my money on “gaudy, showy things” because I have impeccable taste. Also, I have no money to waste! I didn’t win the lottery yesterday like I had planned to do, so I’m going to stick to the resolution I made during Monday’s new moon to keep my finances in check.
The interesting thing about this aspect is that it perfects just a couple of days after Jupiter enters my eighth house: something I discussed on this blog just a couple of weeks ago. It makes me wonder if I’m going to have to endure some sort of cosmic test of my willpower shortly after that major ingress. To be honest, I worry more about my lack of willpower when Venus and Jupiter are harmoniously aligned. I can be stupidly overconfident when the so-called “benefics” are whispering in my ear and telling me that I can’t lose.
So, for now I’m just going to try to focus on the discipline I resolved to cultivate when the new moon occurred just a degree away from my midheaven two days ago. I’ve got too many planets in my tenth house right now to even consider failure. Do you hear that, Jupiter?
