I just realized that Jupiter is about to form a square with my natal Venus. I’m not too worried about tense aspects between these two planets because my behavior is typically worse when they are favorably aligned. But then I read what “Café Astrology” had to say about the three-week transit:

“Overindulgence is the theme of this transit. Your desire for pleasure increases dramatically, and you are likely to overestimate your ability to indulge and get away with it! You may also come across as insincere or superficial at this time. You may overspend or overeat — both symptoms of your inner restlessness. It can be hard to focus on your responsibilities at this time due to a desire to spoil yourself with pleasurable activities. You need to exercise some moderation at this time.”

The last thing the universe needs to do is to encourage me to be more decadent! Nevertheless, I do have some stabilizing transits occurring while this aspect is within orb. Both the sun and Venus will be transiting my disciplined tenth house, so maybe I won’t eat everything in sight. However, I am worried about spending more money on things I don’t need. Just yesterday I published a post about the new Bottega Veneta bag that I bought. I know, right?

Fortunately, Jupiter’s retrograde pass over this point will be over by the time I visit Las Vegas in October. I don’t need to come home with a suitcase full of things I’ll barely ever wear! Unfortunately, if I go again in March (like I’m planning to do), I’ll be experiencing this aspect one last time.

Oh well! Being told that I’m going to enjoy my life too much isn’t really the worst thing I could read . . .
