Frustration (source: pexels.com)

I was grouchy on Friday when I got to work because of the volume of work that was left for me by my coworkers while I’ve got someone on my team on a medical leave, someone on vacation and someone else off sick. Thankfully, a bunch of other people jumped into help when they realized what was happening. I left feeling grateful instead of grouchy. Saturday turned out to be a much less stressful shift, and now I’ve got a day off.

I’m grateful for that, too, because the transiting sun is squaring my ascendant today. That always happens two days after the transiting sun opposes my natal sun. Looking back at many of the posts I’ve published on this blog, I realize that I’m typically grouchy during these recurring astrological events. Having these two tense aspects occur within a forty-eight hour span is double the trouble, especially if I have to be around people. My horoscope on astro.com for today’s transit makes that abundantly clear:

“Today you will display a great deal of energy in your dealings with other people. However, the problem lies in how you use that energy, for you may try to dominate others. Or you may encounter others who try to dominate you. Do not be so concerned with your own desires that your actions are out of harmony with the people around you. Do not be so willful that you actually get in the way of your own intentions. This influence can help you, because it enables you to make your mark on the people around you, so that they accept you and let you lead or help lead them. But you must be sure that you are right and that others really are willing to accept your leadership. Otherwise you will only create needless conflict that will bring you nothing.”

“Needless conflict” is the last thing that I need in my life, so I’m going to do everything I can to avoid people today. The aspect will linger into tomorrow morning when I arrive at work, but it should also dissipate throughout the day.

Do you have a sensitive spot like this in your chart that is besieged on an annual basis? Does that spot get a double-dose of trouble like mine does? Let me know in the comments section or on one of my social media sites. I’d love to hear from you!
