After publishing this post where I promised to wait until July 7 to buy “something special,” the Bottega Veneta messenger bag I’ve been stalking dropped in price quite dramatically yesterday. This happened once before, and then the same retailer cancelled my order due to a “pricing error.” I’ll have to thank my lucky stars if this all works out. Stay tuned!

I had to stop myself from shopping online this morning. Typically, late June/early July is one of the best times to purchase high-end apparel and accessories at a deep discount. Of course, I’ve been stalking a few items I would like to own on the websites where I typically do my online buying. The reason I decided not to buy anything is because I might have more money to spend than usual over the next four weeks. Trying to decide on “something special” today was a challenge because I wanted to be sure that I ended up with the one thing that was going to make me the happiest.
