“Don’t cave in” is the title of my daily horoscope on astro.com for tomorrow. The title refers to Mars’ current square with my natal Neptune: an aspect that will be within orb for about four days. The interpretation of the transit is as follows:
“During this time most people have to deal with feelings of doubt, discouragement and inadequacy. Also you may find yourself unpleasantly confronted by the consequences of past actions that you hoped would simply go away. The challenge is to confront them without caving in and feeling hopeless. Now you will question whether you are doing what you should with your life. The temptation is to decide that you are not, and to give up. Others may try to convince you that you are on the wrong course and give you very demoralizing advice. Of course, you may in fact be wrong in some area, and there you should change course. But you must avoid the tendency to cave in. Evaluate what you are doing in your own terms, not someone else’s, and decide whether you are acting properly in various matters.”
I wish I would have read that yesterday when the planets first lined up. I caved in to my worst impulses. As I’ve mentioned a million times before on this blog, ninth house transits have me feeling out of my element. I can be at my worst this time of year because of the mixed signals the universe seems to be sending to me.
Anyway, I’ve got a few other good things happening in my chart over the next couple of days that should override this brief alignment. And in about three weeks from now, the sun will enter my tenth house. I’m a lot more proficient at “acting properly in various matters” when the sun is in the part of my chart associated with discipline. In the meantime, I’ve just got to chalk this one up to experience and pay attention to when this transit recurs on the opposite side of my chart.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go find a cave to hide in for a couple of days while I think about what I did . . .
