Star Struck Style

I haven’t been blogging about “Drag Race” all that much lately. Like the “Real Housewives” posts I’ve enjoyed composing over the last seven years, my discussions about how astrology defines the dynamics behind the scenes of these shows have been a labor of love. Unfortunately, you can’t publish anything online nowadays without an army of trolls overreacting to everything you post in the comments section. And I’m just a commentator on the shows? Imagine what it’s like to be a cast member!

Anyway, I was as surprised as anyone when Heidi N Closet quit “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8” this week — but only for a few seconds. Heidi is a Libra, just like BenDeLaCreme and Adore Delano. In all these seasons of the show, the only three people who have ever quit share the same zodiac sign. I should have seen it coming!

As a blogger with Libra rising who has backed away from his detractors, I suppose I understand why someone would just say “this is not for me” and abandon the opportunity of a lifetime. If I’m not in a harmonious environment, I’ll leave and find a place where I can be happy. It’s as simple as that. Many of the recent discussions about my career on this blog have made that abundantly clear.

While this episode gave me confidence in a lot of the conclusions I’ve made about astrology and “Drag Race,” that’s not exactly the lesson I needed the universe to teach me. I really just need to stop letting the opinions of idiots get into my head. Like the Libra queens who quit the show, I can just keep doing what I’m doing regardless of the feedback I receive from people whose opinions don’t mean anything to me.

In the words of RuPaul, “Unless they paying your bills, pay them bitches no mind.”
