June 1 is Heidi Klum’s birthday. She’s fifty today!
Her natal chart intrigues me for a few reasons. She’s a Gemini with the sun, moon, Saturn, Venus and Mercury in the sign (in exactly that order). While the first three planets are spaced out, Venus and Mercury are only seven minutes apart. All five planets reside in the tenth house. With Leo as her rising sign, that means that the ruler of her ascendant is also the most-elevated planet in her chart. Mercury, the ruler of her sun sign, is also in the same house alongside Saturn, the planet that rules over this part of her chart.
At first glance, this is the horoscope of a Gemini’s Gemini. However, you can’t look at this chart without thinking that the tenth house influence is profound. And there’s also the matter of her ascendant in the final degree of Leo: a position she shares with Donald Trump.
I imagine that she’s probably not the easiest person to work with, but I also imagine that it’s pretty easy to work with her when you understand that she wants what she wants. The tenth-house influence likely makes her more straightforward and less likely to vacillate over issues than most Gemini natives. She’s quite ego-driven, but with Mercury and Venus conjoined so closely, she knows how to sell a positive public image without appearing to be two-faced (a common criticism of Gemini individuals). With Mars in Pisces in the tenth house — a remarkably weak placement — she probably avoids confrontation instinctively.
I haven’t read any horror stories about her like I have with so many other Gemini natives, but maybe I just haven’t been paying attention. The worst thing anyone ever has to say about her is that her red carpet appearances sometimes leave the onlookers scratching their heads. She has a kid-in-a-candy-store approach to fashion that suits the signature style of her sign. And between her Leo rising and all those tenth-house planets, she doesn’t give a rat’s ass if you don’t like what she wears.
When you look that good in your fifties, you don’t really need to worry about what anyone else thinks, anyway. I should know . . .
