Mike Pence (source: Wikipedia)

June 7 is Mike Pence’s birthday.

Mike Pence’s natal chart on astrotheme.com doesn’t have a time of birth listed. At noon on the day he was born the moon was at 29°38″ Gemini, so he has very good chance of having a Cancer moon.

So, why do I believe that he’s got a Cancer moon? Because I have a Cancer moon and I can be a bit of a “traditionalist.” I sometimes find myself looking to the past while wearing those proverbial “rose-colored glasses.” That’s common for people with a Cancer moon.

I suppose that the preponderance of cardinal elements in my natal chart keeps me from only looking backward, though. I don’t idealize the past. I’m more of the nostalgic type who adores the kitsch value of days gone by. I like to look at things that I once enjoyed just to say to myself “What the hell was I thinking when I said the Partridge Family was the greatest band of their generation?” I suspect that I have more in common with John Waters than with Mike Pence when it comes to the way in which I look in the rear-view mirror. Coincidentally, John Waters has major Cancer/Capricorn elements in his own horoscope, just like me.

Mike Pence has a Cancer moon if he was born in the last eleven hours of the day; the odds are only slightly greater than he has a Gemini moon. But I would put my money on the former scenario because he’s a throwback to another generation. He’s got a 1950s, churchy vibe that reminds me of a lot of people from my own past — people I would like to punch in the head if given the chance.

I’ll even predict that he was born late in the evening when the moon in Cancer opposed Saturn in Capricorn. That would account for his backward-looking style of conservatism. I know that the orb for an opposition is quite large, but a tight orb would explain a lot in this instance.

One interesting thing to note about Pence’s chart is that he has Venus at 0°48″ in Leo. That’s almost exactly opposite the degree at which the upcoming Jupiter/Saturn synod will occur on December 21, 2020 — right after the next election. I don’t even know what to do with that information! I’m going to have to look a little deeper into the interpretation of those aspects and figure out what to expect.

Stay tuned!

I wrote this two years ago. I still don’t have a time of birth for Pence, but it’s interesting to note my speculation regarding the period after the 2020 election.
