Star Struck Style

January 18 is Alison Arngrim’s birthday.

Years and years ago, I was in a Le Chateau store at the big mall by my house when Alison Arngrim was paying for some clothes at the counter. I remember being sort of star struck, but also sort of surprised by her friendly, well-mannered, outgoing character. After all, this was the actress who portrayed the infamous Nellie Oleson on “Little House on the Prairie.” Back in the day, there weren’t many villains on TV who were more universally loathed than Nellie Oleson.

I just punched up the actress’ natal chart. Unless she was born in the first two hours of the day, she has a Capricorn sun and a Cancer moon — just like me! That amuses me because I believe that people get the wrong impression of me all the time. I know that a certain level of bitchiness comes across from the way the that I write. If it didn’t, I probably never would have landed a single job writing for fashion magazines. I also know that I have been accused of having a “resting bitch face.” I can be completely detached and not angry of anything at all when some nosy motherf***er will walk up to me and say something like “What’s wrong with you?” Almost nothing makes me angrier than being accused of being in a bad mood when I’m not really in any mood at all.

So, it’s interesting to me that someone who became famous for playing a bitch on TV most likely shares her sun/moon combo with me. I know it’s an intimidating mix, but I never really thought about it contributing so much to our outward demeanor. I sort of thought that the rising sign or planets located in the first house would mitigate or even overrule that — at least that’s what I’ve been taught. Unfortunately, I don’t know Alison Arngrim’s time of birth, so I can’t consider her rising sign or house placements in this discussion.

I’m going to do a little more research about this topic, anyway. It’s fun to plug a few factors into the search feature on astrotheme.com and see which celebrities show up. I need to know if there are any other Capricorn sun/Cancer moon stars out there who have been accused of having “resting bitch face.” It can’t just be the two of us, right?
