Venus moves into Libra later today where it will remain for about five weeks. Its subsequent retrograde cycle will see it return to Libra for the entire month of November, too. Hooray!
Why am I excited about this? Well, I have Libra as my ascendant. I’m sure that having the prettiest planet transiting my first house will have me looking more handsome than ever, right? Right?
Just for fun, I Googled “Venus transiting Libra” and checked out some of the results. One of the sites I clicked on was the one run by a couple of women who pretend to be fashion astrologers by posting the sort of half-witted blurbs that make real astrologers hang down their heads in shame. This is what they wrote:
“Venus finally makes it to Libra, we can breathe a bit of a sigh of relief and celebrate – with oodles of shopping!”
Is that how you talk to women in 2018? I might be a relic who writes 8,000-9,000 chapters about this stuff because I assume that there still might be someone out there who can actually read a fucking book in the age of Twitter, but that is infinitely more respectable than being someone who writes lines like “oodles of shopping!” Kill me now!
Anyway, I hope that Venus’ transit through the sign it rules will allow me to focus upon the more superficial aspects of promoting my career as a fashion astrologer. After having my head in a single project for so long (writing the wonderful book in the photo), I’ve been slacking. My fear is that slacking might become my routine while Venus moves through the sign that invented slacking. Libra can be a lazy, decadent place for planets to hang out.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have oodles of shopping to do . . .

In my ongoing endeavor to not be so bitchy, I sometimes forget how hilarious I can be when I am being bitchy.
