March 12 is Liza Minnelli’s birthday.

Liza Minnelli is a Pisces’ Pisces. She not only has her Pisces sun in the twelfth house, but she also has Mercury and Venus in Aries intercepted in the twelfth house. Other major chart factors include a decadent Taurus rising and the moon, Mars and Saturn within 3°02″ of each other in Cancer.

It is the chart of someone who is chronically vulnerable. What’s interesting is that Liza Minnelli has made her vulnerability her shtick without driving away her audience — myself included. In most cases, I’m repulsed by needy people, and yet I’ve found myself rooting for Liza Minnelli for as long as I can remember.

In the past, I’ve written about how I feel protective toward particular Cancer individuals who have had some bad luck, especially when it comes to lousy parents. I don’t recall when that feeling has extended to Pisces natives, except in this particular instance. So I guess that it’s no surprise to discover that little cluster of Cancer planets in Minnelli’s chart.

I wonder if it’s my Cancer moon that makes me feel that way? It’s something worth exploring.
